  16.        ClickDOS was my entry into the ever growing  number of "directory
  17.        utility"  programs.    I  wrote  the  original ClickDOS primarily
  18.        because of my frustrations with other directory utility programs.
  19.        ClickDOS  has  been  and  continues  to be a successful shareware
  20.        venture  for  me.    I  thank  each  and  every  person  who  has
  21.        contributed to  the project.   I  hope you all have enjoyed using
  22.        ClickDOS.

  24.        This disk contains the second generation of the  ClickDOS utility
  25.        - ClickDOS II  version 1.00.   ClickDOS  II is a MAJOR upgrade of
  26.        the popular  ClickDOS  V2.06.    Just  about  every  suggestion I
  27.        received about  ClickDOS has  been incorporated into ClickDOS II.
  28.        I could not possibly  list everything  which has  been changed or
  29.        enhanced.   Therefore, I  recommend to everyone, even experienced
  30.        users of the original ClickDOS, that  you read  the documentation
  31.        entirely to see what ClickDOS II can do for you.

  33.        If you  are new  to ClickDOS, I know that directory utilities are
  34.        a-dime-a-dozen,  but  take  a  moment  to  look  (and  play with)
  35.        ClickDOS II.   I think you will like.  Many others have found the
  36.        original program useful and I  think  this  one  is  even better.
  37.        Here are some of the things which I think make ClickDOS II better
  38.        than other directory utilities:

  40.        - ClickDOS II is reasonably small  (for  what  it  does):  42K on
  41.        disk, 56K  in memory  while it is iconified, 75K while its window
  42.        is fully open.

  44.        - It uses a single window on  the Workbench  screen which  can be
  45.        iconified  so  it  doesn't  gobble  up  your chip memory or waste
  46.        memory with bells and whistles.

  48.        - It does not rely on other programs for  most of  its functions.
  49.        Type and  Show functions,  for example, are built in.  This makes
  50.        these function much faster to use.

  52.        - ClickDOS II's data structures are dynamically  allocated and it
  53.        uses Fast  memory for  everything it  can.   Therefore, it's very
  54.        memory efficient.

  56.        - ClickDOS II's gadget and mouse  controls  are,  in  my opinion,
  57.        very logical and easy to use.

  60.        PRINTING THE ClickDOS_II.doc FILE
  61.  
  62.             The ClickDOS_II.doc file is formated to print on any standard
  63.        eighty character wide sixty-six lines per  page printer.  To print
  64.        it:

  66.        1.  Make sure you  have the margins in Preferences set to zero for
  67.        the left and eighty for the right.
  68.  
  69.        2.  Position  your printer to the very  first line on the page and
  70.        set the top of form (TOF).  You can make sure that the top of form
  71.        is set correctly by turning the printer off and on.  Some printers
  72.        have a TOF button on the front panel.

  74.        3.  Copy the file to the printer using the command:
